Journey

A sensory stroll through poetry, composition and visual expressiveness

The Hypocrit

Don't sell out

To the sweetness of the sound

A never-ending search

For a note that can't be found

They've done it all before

A million times and more

Another riff a chord

A verse of "love-forever-more"

You wring it out

Squeeze it out every drop that it has

But lying on your deathbed

Your conscience will begin to unfold

Crude assumptions will take hold

But a stranger’s face will be all that’s left to behold

And you’ll have no choice but to weigh up all that you’ve pawned

And here I am

The hypocrite I go by name

The slayer of all things good

And in front of you I stand accused

And here I am

The plagiarist I'm known by shame

The lover of all

Beloved I'm told

And here I am

The hypocrite I go by name

The slayer of all things good

And in front of you I stand accused

And here I am

The plagiarist I'm known by shame

The lover of all

Beloved I'm told

A deafening cacophony

Is the daily routine

Overpowering our neighbour

Is the soundtrack theme

You divide me

We become one

Merge into me

Merge into one

A subtle hint of a rye smile

Curled up under brown eye

A flashing glint of a white fang

To bring out my darker side

You divide me

We become one

Merge into me

Merge into one

Merge Into One

An eastern culture merged

To a western world

All neatly dressed and aspire

To be well behaved

But black we all are inside

And outside

And pride we wear as a bright badge

On our tanned hides

You divide me

We become one

Merge into me

Merge into one
